I am glad that you mentioned that the "La Chic" was the first night club licenced for gay and lesbian people in the UK. That was something that we were very proud of.
But very upset that you had the name of the owner wrong. Geoff Vickers was never an owner. The Two people who opened the club were John Greenaway and John Glover, i know this as i was John Greenaway's boyfriend at the time. I also remember having to write and file all the membership cards and having to work behind the bar as we couldn't afford to pay bar staff in the beginning. It was a great club and a great time of my youth.
