On the corner of Broughton Street and Wollaton Road
Good Evening. Re: Broughton Street Hardware shop - The premises next door and around the back (a large garage) used to be where a dairy (I think Northern Dairies) used to charge their milk floats overnight. To the right of the shop was also Northern Dairies I think but then became a car tuning business. On the opposite side of the road was Pork Farms with Doris' Hairdressers upstairs. Beeston Light Car was just out of shot to the left (where Willoughby's is/was). A distant cousin was Dennis Oscroft who eventually owned Oscroft's Garage further down Wollaton Road (and in Castle Boulevard Nottingham).
