We have to announce the death of Mr. John Williamson, at the schoolhouse midway between North and South Clifton, in the 74th year of his age, after a short illness. He had performed the duty of parish clerk, sexton, and village schoolmaster for a period of 38 years, during which time he interred more than 400 bodies in the parish churchyard. He was followed to the grave by a great many of the inhabitants of North and South Clifton, by whom he was much respected.
