'Bubbling Over' November 1944

This old November 1944 Nottingham Empire programme reveals the type of entertainment that was put on to help keep up the spirits of people during WW2. The shows were twice nightly, and were no doubt interrupted on occasions by the air raid sirens . The TCP advert is cleverly done and well worth reading. It was a time of 'make do and mend' and you could have your stockings re-footed and ladders mended at JOYBAR Ltd.
