Headon Hall
Arms of the Wasteneys family
Writing in 1910. Everard Guildford (p.98)* noted that Headon Hall (located SE of Retford), was rebuilt by Sir Hardolph Wasteneys in 1710, but was taken down shortly before 1800.
He further notes that at the time he was writing, "One or two of the seven fine avenues of trees which converged on the hall may still be seen between Headon and Grove".
