Subsidence and a Draining Lake

These photos were taken circa 1988 when I understand mining subsidence opened up a big fissure and the lake was draining away. Fortunately, as can be seen, work was undertaken that put things right and walks round the lake with all its wild life have continued to be enjoyed by visitors for many years since, whatever the weather.
