From The Hucknall Dispatch, 31st December 1914:-

"Writing to his parents at Papplewick Grange, Lance-Corporal F.C. Holeywell says, thanks to the British public they are well provided for in the way of clothing; in fact, they possess nice fur coats, whereby they would be able to creep into the Germans' lines disguised as goats minus tails".
