Then and Now

This is a view looking north towards what is now the Plough crossroads.

At the date of the older photo there is no crossroads but just a T junction with the Sleaford Road turning off to the right. In the distance on the right is the Old Vicarage, nearer is the Red Lion which had next to it a small shop where the schoolchildren used to buy their sweets.

From a Postcard.

Photo:All the buildings on the right have gone and there is a house there now. Mr Knott the baker lived in the building with the cream gable, his ovens have survived in an outbuilding at the back of the house.
