Then and Now

This is a view looking north towards what is now the Plough crossroads.
At the date of the older photo there is no crossroads but just a T junction with the Sleaford Road turning off to the right. In the distance on the right is the Old Vicarage, nearer is the Red Lion which had next to it a small shop where the schoolchildren used to buy their sweets.
For more information see www.coddington.org.uk
The Plough is the taller building in the distance on the left, the Red Lion is painted white on the right.
From a Postcard.
All the buildings on the right have gone and there is a house there now. Mr Knott the baker lived in the building with the cream gable, his ovens have survived in an outbuilding at the back of the house.
