The Road Band were (are?) a Country Music outfit, the record sleeve stating

"The Road Band has rapidly earned a reputation as one of the finest instrumental groups in the country. However, on this E.P. the rich smooth voice of Cliff in 'Silver Wing', the gutsy style of Jim in 'Red Eye Special', and the four part harmony in 'Broken Lady' demonstrates the abundance of vocal talent in the band".
