Skegby Manor

In 1223 Godfrey Spigurnal was Lord of the Manor at Skegby. His family remained owners of the Manor until 1334 when Elizabeth Spigurnal, sold it to Richard Pensax. The Manor was passed to Percival Lindley and family in 1450 the family and descendants remained the owners until 1820 when John Dodsley owned the family, the Dodsley family owned the Manor until the 1930s.
