Picture the Past is a website featuring photographs, slides, postcards, engravings and more from the libraries and museums of Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.  

Images from these collections are being copyright cleared and then digitised, preserving them for future generations.   You can order photographic prints from the site.   Many of the images on the Our Nottinghamshire website that you are looking at now have been taken from Picture the Past. 

Libraries welcome donations of photographs and slides for collections both on and offline.   Items can be loaned for scanning, with full acknowledgment given to the original owner.
