Son of Mr & Mrs B. Helliwell of William Street, Newark

Commemorated on Ypres Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium

The following is from a List of wreaths laid at the unveiling of Newark War Memorial on Sunday 24th April 1921. As reported in The Newark Herald newspaper, 30th April 1921.

"To the blessed memory of a dear son, Trooper Thos. Herbert Helliwell, H.M. 1st Life Guards. Killed in action, Nov. 20th, 1914. He did his duty".
