"Private Harry Deakin, who is in the 2nd Battalion of the Grenadier Guards, is amongst the wounded, and is now being treated in the Astoria Hospital, Paris. Only brief letters have come from him, and it is ascertained that he was injured on November 12th by shrapnel, causing paralysis of the lower part of the body and legs"
