Pevsner (p93) notes an alabaster carving of the Trinity in the church at Carlton-in-Lindrick. He identifies it as being Nottingham work of the 15th century, but in a poor state of preservation.
I am looking for my Sturdivant family. They were supposed to be living in Carlton Nottinghamshire, ca 1614. At 3 generations John, William, John Sturdivant. My colonial ancestor John Sturdivant was here ca 1650 colonial Virginia
I would like to know what info. I could by books, any other research I could do.
I can't travel to England to do the work myself.
