The 'Together for Newark' Collaborative Project began with a listening activity from which, it became clear, that many pupils and parents were unaware of the history and heritage of Newark on Trent.
With this in mind, these resources have been developed for teachers to use to encourage the understanding for pupils of where they live and have a sense of pride in the place. They are not limited to any year group and provide source material that can lead to designed enquiry based independent learning, both in the classroom and outside.
